A trip to Daun:

Daun is only 30 minutes from Bitburg and is the center of a volcano area. In a few crater lakes it is possible to take a swim.

Visit the Geo center (Vulcano museum) and watch a simulated volcano eruption offered by the museum. Popular excursions are also the Bell foundry, historical water mill in Birgel, the deer and wild pig park in Daun, ...

The famous formula 1 race track Nürburgring is also nearby.
